Natalya Goncharova, Russian Nataliya Sergeyevna Goncharova, Goncharova also spelled Gontcharova, (born June 4, 1881, Nagayevo, Russia—died October 17, 1962, Paris, France), innovative Russian painter, sculptor, and stage designer who was a founder, with Mikhail Larionov, of Rayonism (c. 1910) and was a designer for the Ballets Russes. Katherine Goncharova was born in Kishinev, the capital of Moldova, in 7th July, 1986. She finished Kharkov Art Lyceum at Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts. She has been a student of the Academy since 2003 in Restoration of Easel and Mural Painting.

Well, through the use of scandal, of course––her daring artistic styles of revolt that challenged gender and societal norms, presented the body as canvas, and questioned tradition and convention, served as the ultimate rebellion against Mother Russia. The discovery of two original works by Natalia Goncharova is a momentous event. As often happens in such cases, chance played a role.

Of all the Russian avant-garde artists of the 20th century, Natalia Goncharova (1881-1962) was the most experimental.
